Suyog : Thanks :) While taking indoor pictures i normally use any light source available, i prefer a philips tube which gives nice white light the only problem is the light does not have a very big range so it needs to be very near the subject.. i got this idea after being to some exhibitions in bbay where there were lights from a company called KINO Flo.. the other thing needed sometimes is using a reflector.. anything works from a big plate from the kitchen to also a book with white pages held near the subject reflecting light on it.. Its real funny at times when you are holding a tube in one hand and the camera in the other and trying to compose a frame. its fun.. trial and error is the best way.

Zishaan : Thanks! i have seen some of your pics they are real cool..

Hi Nish! Thanks for all the info. I work for Philips so it is really good to hear that you find the light to be of a good quality ;-) What is the wattage of the tube that you use? I was thinking of going for a table lamp as I too do a lot of acrobatics while taking my macros when I am not using natural sunlight! Do you have a better suggestion?

Suyog : Getting a table lamp is a good idea you can diffuse the light coming out by using butter paper or even some white cloth this makes the light even and soft! if u r using a digi cam then click 1 stop less and then correct the levels in photoshop by setting the white point and dark points. this is the best way to do it. if you overexpose then you might not get the whites right and then the other colours get totally burnt out...
